Christopher Arthur Garcia was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey in 1968.
At the age of one, his family moved to Santurce, Puerto Rico where he spent the next seventeen years.

My work is tangible for the viewer, however, I try to produce something that would not be viewed the same way had it not been transposed to the canvas. I constantly refer to artists such as Edward Hopper, Gustave Caillebotte, Winslow Homer, and Gerhard Richter for style.

Painting at night has given me the opportunity to see color as value. I also get to meet lots of wonderful people. If you saw me out painting on the town and can't find the painting you saw me painting please check back in a week of two and I will have it finished and posted.

This is an experiment to see if I can keep real documentation of development of my artwork while i attend art school at cca, California College of the Arts.
