Emily M. Reeh is the president and founder of Global Artistry LLC. Her background is in International Business and direct marketing, but has always had a love of art. Her great grandfather was an artist in Chicago, IL.

"I always heard stories as child of how my Greek great grandfather pretended he was French in order to find work. He did murals around the city to help support his family. Today some of his work is still in the family and something we really love and cherish. I keep looking for it in the city, but have yet to find any murals that have survived."

After graduating from Sweet Briar College, Emily tried to get involved in something international - something she had always been very passionate about. She had lived abroad in Spain, Italy, France, Mexico and Brazil, but was unable to find a job that would allow her to do something that would be full time international. Her dream was to be an international buyer, but without connections or retail experience getting a jump start was difficult. She ended up taking a sales position with a company that was manufacturer in the promotional products industry and got to travel internationally a few times a year, far from her dream. At the end of the day she was no where near where she needed to be, not finding growth or opportunity for growth, so she upped and moved to Chicago.

Since moving to Chicago, Emily has pursued more of what she is passionate about, she believes in taking control of your life and if opportunities don't exist - make new ones. She now has traveled and been active with international organizations, has performed at the second city comedy club and has worked in direct marketing. With the launch of GlobalArtistry.com she has created a new opportunity hopes in doing so she aims to do the same for others, because everyone should pursue careers they are passionate about.
