 > Account Issues

 >> I forgot my password, what should I do?

Go to the login screen, click the link that says "I Forgot my password" and an email will be sent to you as a reminder. Just follow the instructions to reset your password. We don't email your old password in the clear because it's just not a safe thing to do (email is not encrypted).

 >> I never received the confirmation email, how do I get it resent?

Go to the Register screen and look in the lower right where it says "If you already completed this part, but need us to resend the confirmation email, enter your email address here."

 >> Can I change my username?

No, it is not possible to change your username. This would interfere with Globalartistry.com's feedback system and open the door for fraud. If some extreme circumstance requires you to change your username, send us an email and we'll work it out.

 >> What are Categories? How do they work?

Categories are meant to simplify the shopper’s searches. If you were looking at an item in a store and there was a small tag attached to it, what words would it have on it to help you identify or understand the item? Tag words are chosen by the seller for each item, and may be used to help people find an item or related items. For example, if you're looking at a scarf with the tag "sheepswool," you can click it and see all other items with the same tag.

 >> How do I start buying and selling on Globalartistry.com.?

In order to buy and sell on Globalartistry.com, you'll need to register first. To register as a shopper, we only require you to choose a username and password and to have a verified email address. If you want to be a seller, we also require you to have a valid credit card.  >> What are materials? How do they work?

Materials are a special kind of single-word keywords. Instead of helping you understand what an item is used for; they help you figure out what it's made out of. You can click a material anywhere you see it to be taken to a list of all other items using the same material.

 >> I have an idea to make Globalartistry.com better.

We would love to hear about it! We are always looking for new ideas and improvements. We have a “let us know” in the main tool bar for just this purpose you can always email us at info@globalartistry.com.

 >> Will you add a category to the main list?

If there's a category we've missed, we'll be glad to hear your reasons for adding. We have deliberately kept the top-level categories broad and general, because we think sellers can more effectively use tags, materials and descriptions to classify their items.

 >> How does the feedback system work?

You may leave a feedback rating of 1-5 for users whom you've been involved with in a transaction with, both sellers and buyers. You can also leave a review in writing as feedback for the artist. Your feedback score is the median score between 1-5.

 > Problems and Resolutions

 >> As a shopper, how I do I report any problems with an item?

If an item you pay for is not shipped by the seller, or is significantly not as described, please email customerservice@globalartistry.com with your username and the item number, and we'll quickly work to resolve the situation.
