The only things that have lasted are my family and my art. Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Both my uncle and mother painted and I had always thought it was amazing to see that something created in the mind could be placed on the canvas. I started painting at an early age and continue to do so today. I love the connection I feel as I paint.
Painting has allowed for me to connect with people without the use of dialogue. With art, I do not have to explain myself. With my art, I can put my mind on canvas and never have to explain. If someone really wants to know, then I might tell them but I prefer to keep it to myself.
My inspiration comes from the daily interactions that I make with people, and the world around me. I live in a dying industrial town surrounded by a beautiful fairy tale landscape. I believe that beauty cannot exist neither can it be created unless its counterpart also exists. I am grateful for the beauty that can be found in our lives.
